Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction 

Welcome to Roaming Rehab. By using our services, you agree to abide by the following terms and conditions. These terms govern your use of our mobile physiotherapy services, including physiotherapy treatment and dry needling.

By attending an appointment with a Roaming Rehab physiotherapist, you acknowledge that you willingly give consent to our physiotherapists to perform any and all necessary examinations and treatment procedures in accordance with their professional training, qualifications, and understanding of your injury.

You understand that you have the opportunity to discuss the nature and purpose of your physiotherapy care with your physiotherapist before any treatment is performed, and that you may opt out of treatment at any time.

2. General Terms and Conditions 

​

Appointment Scheduling and Cancellation 

  • Appointments must be scheduled in advance. 

  • Cancellations or rescheduling must be made at least 24 hours before the appointment time. Failure to do so may result in a cancellation fee. 

  • Roaming Rehab reserves the right to apply a cancellation fee up to 100% of the service cost for appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice. 

  • When funding treatment through third parties such as, but not limited to, NDIS and Return To Work SA, the cancellation policy and procedures are subject to those organisations' policies, which may include notice periods longer than 24 hours. Please contact associated third parties directly for further information. 

  • If a client arrives late or is not at the scheduled location within 15 minutes of the scheduled time, a Did Not Attend (DNA) fee may apply. The application of this fee, up to 100% of the scheduled consultation fee, is at the discretion of the therapist.

Payment 

  • Payment is required at the time of service unless otherwise arranged. 

  • We accept cash, credit cards, and electronic funds transfers. 

​

Refunds 

  • Roaming Rehab does not offer refunds for any therapy appointments. However, we always strive for 100% consumer satisfaction. If you have any concerns or issues with your treatment, please contact us to discuss. 

​

Travel Fees 

  • Travel fees often apply and will vary depending on the location of treatment. 

  • In some cases, travel fees are included within the quoted price, as per mentioned on the website. 

  • When calculating travel fees, this can include the distance and time required for the therapist to travel from their preceding location to the treatment location, as well as the distance and time required for the therapist to return to their next required location. 

  • The application of travel fees is at the discretion of Roaming Rehab.

Therapist Arrival Time 

  • Due to the nature of providing a mobile service, your therapist may arrive late to scheduled appointments. We strive to minimize delays and appreciate your understanding and flexibility in such cases.

Confidentiality 

  • All patient information and records are confidential and will be treated in accordance with applicable privacy laws. 

​

Limitation of Liability 

  • The director of Roaming Rehab and any employees of this business shall not be held liable for, nor accept any responsibility for any injury, loss, or damage sustained by any person or persons resulting from treatments or procedures delivered in this practice or by our physiotherapists or in any way whatsoever, except where such injury, loss, or damage arises from negligence of the business director or the business employees.

Consent to Obtain Information 

  • To facilitate the processing and management of your injury or condition, you acknowledge and accept that it may be necessary to communicate details of your medical condition with treating practitioners, rehabilitation consultants, case managers, and solicitors involved in your case. 

  • By signing these Terms and Conditions, you give permission to Roaming Rehab to exchange information about your injury, condition, or claim, as well as significant past medical history, with individuals deemed necessary by Roaming Rehab.

Right to Refuse Service 

  • Roaming Rehab reserves the right to refuse service to any client. Reasons for refusal may include, but are not limited to: 

  • Safety concerns for the therapist or client 

  • Client behaviour that is abusive, threatening, or inappropriate 

  • Medical conditions that contraindicate physiotherapy treatment 

  • Lack of client cooperation or compliance with treatment recommendations 

  • Inadequate facilities or environment that prevent the safe and effective delivery of treatment

Changes to Terms and Conditions 

  • Roaming Rehab reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on our website under our terms and conditions section.

3. Consent to Physiotherapy Treatment 

By receiving treatment from Roaming Rehab, you consent to the following:

Treatment Scope 

  • You consent to receive physiotherapy treatments which may include, but are not limited to, manual therapy, exercise therapy, electrotherapy, and advice on injury prevention and management. 

​

Risks and Benefits 

  • You acknowledge that physiotherapy treatments have potential risks and benefits. Risks may include, but are not limited to, temporary soreness, discomfort, and in rare cases, injury. Benefits include pain relief, improved mobility, and enhanced physical function. 

​

Responsibility 

  • You agree to provide accurate medical history and inform your physiotherapist of any changes in your health status. 

​

Right to Refuse 

  • You have the right to refuse or discontinue treatment at any time. 

​

4. Consent to Dry Needling 

Dry needling is a specific technique used by physiotherapists to treat pain and dysfunction. By consenting to dry needling treatment, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

Description of Dry Needling 

  • Dry needling involves the insertion of thin, sterile, single-use needles into specific points in the muscles to relieve pain, reduce muscle spasm and tightness, enhance healing response, and promote other positive responses such as improved range of motion and decreased trigger point activity. 

​

Benefits 

  • Benefits may include pain relief, reduced muscle tension, improved mobility, accelerated healing, and enhanced muscle function. 

​

Risks 

  • Risks associated with dry needling may include minor bruising and bleeding, temporary soreness, infection, tiredness, nausea, and in extremely rare cases, injury to nerves or organs, including pneumothorax (collapsed lung). 

​

Procedure 

  • The procedure will be explained to you in detail before treatment. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and understand the expected outcomes. 

​

Consent 

  • You consent to receive dry needling treatment as part of your physiotherapy care. 

​

Right to Refuse 

  • You have the right to refuse or discontinue dry needling treatment at any time without affecting your access to other physiotherapy treatments.
